Arizona Health Disparities Center 

Zipatly Mendoza is the Office Chief for the Arizona Health Disparities Center (AHDC) within the Arizona Department of Health Services. Zipatly received a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Arizona and her Master of Public Health degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As the Office Chief of AHDC, Ms. Mendoza is responsible for coordination of the statewide health disparities agenda and to build the capacity of the State to address health disparities. She is also responsible for identifying best practices, assessing data trends and implementing innovative strategies to decrease health disparities. Prior to her position with AHDC, Zipatly worked for Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County in Pacoima, CA, where she served as the Health Project Director; developed and revised programmatic policies and procedures; developed organizational Limited English Proficiency policies and procedures, and led a data analysis committee to address and evaluate organizational program priorities.
