Dr. Qing Wu is an associate professor of biostatistics in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, School of the Community Health Sciences and is a founding member of the Nevada Institute of Personalized Medicine, UNLV. Dr. Wu’s research interests include health disparities research, osteoporosis research, meta-analyses, genome-wide meta-analysis, big-data analysis, and study design and statistical methodology development. His current research focuses on developing model-based bone density reference values for health disparity populations. His research is funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. Dr. Wu has extensive experience in multidisciplinary collaborative research and statistical consulting in biomedical research. His collaborative works have led to 50 research grants funded by federal agencies, major industries, and research foundations. Dr. Wu is also an academic editor of the journals PLOS ONE and Medicine.
