Paul Strauss, MPA

Mr. Paul Strauss received a BS in biology from Idaho State University and an MPA from Strayer University. He has worked in both the public and private spheres of health and wellness for the past 15 years. Over this time, he has had the opportunity to engage individuals and communities from across the social, cultural, and economic spectrum in both urban and rural settings.

Currently, Mr. Strauss works for the Hawaii State Department of Health as a public health educator within the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Division on Hawaii Island. He has also worked as an HIV counselor for the Hawaii Department of Health. Through public and private partnership, Mr. Strauss works at the systems level to create, promote, and support programs and policies aimed at improving the social determinants of health, with particular attention paid to communities suffering the greatest health disparities.
