Dr. Olivia Catolico is a tenured professor in the School of Health and Natural Sciences, Department of Nursing at Dominican University in San Rafael, California. Her clinical practice has focused primarily on adult care across multiple settings. Dr. Catolico has developed and enhanced the undergraduate curriculum in gerontological nursing at Dominican University, and she has taught in both graduate and undergraduate programs.

Her scholarly interests are in the areas of refugee and immigrant health, and global health nursing. She has led and supervised students abroad in medical missions and cultural immersion courses in Uganda, Costa Rica, and Spain.

Dr. Catolico is a board member of Bridges of Promise, a nonprofit organization that funds education and critical infrastructure projects in Tanzania. She also serves as an on-site evaluator for the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education. Dr. Catolico obtained her PhD at the University of San Diego, Hahn School of Nursing and Health Sciences. She acquired her master’s degree from Loma Linda University and her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fresno, California.
