Ms. Mele Look is the director of community engagement in the Department of Native Hawaiian Health at the University of Hawai‘i, John A. Burns School of Medicine. She has worked as a health researcher, community advocate, and health administrator for over 35 years. Ms. Look founded and currently facilitates the Ulu Network, a cardio-metabolic health community coalition that has grown to 30 community-based organizations with over 70 sites serving Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Peoples across Hawai‘i and the Continental United States.

Ms. Look received her MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests include pioneering studies in the area of Native Hawaiian mortality and initiatives that merge cultural practices and health objectives.
